When a customer completes a Shopify order, Klaviyo receives the order event and triggers a post-purchase flow that sends a thank-you email, a product education sequence, and a timed upsell or cross-sell based on the product category purchased. The flow uses conditional splits to exclude repeat buyers from first-purchase messaging.
When a customer reaches checkout and does not complete the order, Klaviyo triggers an abandoned checkout flow that sends an email within one hour containing a dynamic product block pulling the exact items left behind. If the customer does not convert after two emails, an optional SMS step is added for clients using Klaviyo SMS.
We build a win-back or sunset flow targeting subscribers who have not opened or clicked in 90 to 180 days, using Klaviyo engagement segments as the entry condition. The flow sends a re-engagement series and, if the subscriber remains inactive, moves them to a suppressed status to protect sender reputation and list hygiene.
When a new contact joins the list through a pop-up, landing page, or checkout opt-in, the welcome flow fires with a conditional split based on the signup source property.
